BZM (device 0x62) sets the 6th byte as 02 in addition to the 01 byte 4. Some devices (4E7-4EA, notably including front and rear iDrive controller) have byte 3 FE instead of FF for all other devices. 3. when your node is tagged in an 02 or 12 message, tag the next higher node you know of with a 12 message.

I tried many Indy's and they were nonthewiser. Eventually, I paid someone $150 online to code my CCC unit remotely. He was able to restore the sound and CD player functions. However, till date my iDrive controller does not work. I have diagnosed that the iDrive controller firmware function needs to be changed to be compatible with the CCC unit.
Metra has been good about integrating factory features into aftermarket radios, so I don't see much of a problem there. The E60 never offered factory A2DP, and at least on my E60, the speakerphone portion is on the passenger side under the dash, so the only involvement from the audio system when the BT connection is active is that the radio mutes and displays the caller's name or number.
Once done, I then used WinKFP to code "defaults" for the CAPPL, CAUDI, CHOST, CTUNE, and KLIMA using the VO from the LMA (could not use the VO from CAS as there was an error). Everything seemed to update normally but now my iDrive wheel does not work, just spins/no resistance, and my AC stays on with the little green LED on the button
You may need to press the "BC" button on the left steering wheel control stalk to see the miilage and trip odometer frist (I am not sure about that). You may also be able to reset the trip computer using iDrive-Via iDrive: 1. "My Vehicle" 2. "Driving information" 3. "Trip computer" 4. Move the controller to the left, if needed.
